Keto Chili Lime Chicken Burgers

August 16, 2019Laura

I’ve been meaning to share this homemade Chili Lime Chicken Burger recipe for a while now! I made them for lunch earlier this week and finally got around to taking some photos! I always buy the frozen kind from Trader Joe’s, but a lot of the time when I go they are sold out. I think they’re a pretty popular item there. One week I decided to make my own version of them, since I didn’t have any in the freezer. The ingredients listed on their box are all pretty basic, so they were fairly easy to replicate.

For these chicken burgers, I used ground chicken and added some basic ingredients to it. I also added in some stuff that’s not listed on the Trader Joe’s ones. I used lots of spices, red bell pepper, jalapeno, chives, cilantro and lime juice. If you’re not a fan of jalapenos, you can add extra red bell pepper or substitute green peppers. You could also add in some chopped onions. They’re really easy to customize to your liking! Give everything a good mix, form into patties and grill. They really couldn’t be any easier to make! I did try baking them once and definitely preferred them grilled!

What do I serve with these chicken burgers? I always eat them bunless or on top of lettuce. I like topping mine with avocado slices, sliced jalapenos and cheese. Other options: tomato, sliced onions or even guacamole. You can serve them with low carb veggies or even a side salad. They make the perfect lunch and are also easy to whip up for dinner. Enjoy!
