I mentioned a few post back that chicken is my favorite food! I’m always trying to think of ways to create a new chicken recipe. This BBQ chicken turned out delicious and doesn’t get any easier. You just need four basic ingredients plus the seasoning mixture. I’ve really enjoyed making my own spice mixtures lately. Like I’ve said before, I know exactly what’s in them and can keep the ingredients clean. I have a homemade taco seasoning, fajita seasoning and blackened chicken tender spice blend here on the blog, just to name a few.
For this recipe you need chicken breast, bacon, your favorite sugar free BBQ sauce and shredded cheese. Like I said, super easy. I use the G. Hughes sugar free BBQ sauces. It’s the best out there, in my opinion. The seasoning blend only requires basic spices that I keep on hand in my pantry. I used paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, dried thyme and some cayenne pepper.
What can you serve with the chicken? Coleslaw, salad, or your favorite low carb veggies are all good options. Since summer is right around the corner, I’ve had a craving for coleslaw. I’ve made it a lot lately since it pairs well with almost anything. Green beans or roasted broccoli is a great option too. I have recipes for both here on the blog under the sides section. Hope you enjoy!
