Keto Chicken Fajitas (Skillet)

Fajitas have always been a favorite of mine and something I’m still able to enjoy on keto. They’re easy to make and is a meal that the entire family can enjoy! I serve mine with all of my favorite toppings and make my own homemade seasoning that only requires a few pantry staples. The recipe for the seasoning is included below. Hope you enjoy!

There are so many yummy topping options that you can pair with your fajitas. Here are a few that I enjoy:

  • Avocado slices
  • Guacamole
  • Sour cream
  • Salsa
  • Hot sauce
  • Lettuce
  • Shredded cheese
  • Sliced jalapenos
  • Cauliflower rice
  • Lime wedges

Keto Chicken Fajitas (Skillet)

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 3 medium boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • Fajita seasoning, see recipe below

Fajita seasoning:

  • 1/2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Dash red pepper flakes, optional


  • 1)
    Mix all fajita seasoning ingredients together in a small bowl.
  • 2)
    Heat 1 Tbsp of oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken thoroughly with fajita seasoning. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover with aluminum foil to keep warm.
  • 3)
    Heat remaining 2 Tbsp of oil in separate skillet over medium-high. Add peppers and onions, saute until soft and slightly browned, about 8 minutes.
  • 4)

    Add cooked chicken back into skillet with peppers and onions. Warm through and serve with your favorite toppings.
