This week I went to one of my favorite stores, Aldi, for my groceries. They didn’t have quite everything I needed, so I stopped by Harris Teeter to grab the few remaining items on my list. I also included a couple of items I picked up from Costco and World Market as well. You never know what you’re going to find! I always post my grocery hauls on a regular basis on my Instagram page to hopefully give other people some ideas. It’s much easier sharing the complete breakdown of the grocery haul on the blog, so I can include all the details.
This is what I picked up from Aldi this week. Usually their produce selection is great, but I was disappointed this week. I did score the avocado’s for 39 cents each though!
This Appleton Farms bacon is my favorite! It cooks up perfectly and doesn’t contain any added sugar.
The chicken sausages are a new buy. They contain 2 net carbs per sausage and are nitrate free.
Aldi has really improved their meat selection! The ground beef is organic/grass fed and I’m always impressed with the quality of their chicken breast. They had a nice selection of pork and roast as well.
My total at Aldi was $45.12.
These are the few items I picked up from Harris Teeter.
Rao’s marinara is my favorite low carb sauce. It contains 4 net carbs per serving.
I picked up these pork rinds for $1.99. I didn’t realize they were on sale until after I got home, other wise I would have bought more. I love this brand. It all ended up working out, since I found a lot of pork rind variety at World Market. I’ll include what I found there below.
The cauliflower medley, diced tomatoes and peppers are for a low carb skillet I have on the menu this week. I’ll include a link to that recipe below.
My total at Harris Teeter was $20.62.
I recently went to Costco to pick up some staple items, so I’m stocked up for now. My husband needed to go there a few days ago, so I picked up another pack of eggs and this almond flour. I had been paying $9.99 for a one pound bag and this three pound bag was only $11.99. Such a great deal! The eggs were $5.99.
Here are the pork rinds I picked up from World Market. They had such a good selection. They had several brands and flavors to choose from. These are my personal favorites and they were all on sale for 20% off. I’m set for a long time now.
With these items and what I already have on hand, my dinners planned for this week include:
1. Bunless Bacon Cheeseburgers
2. Low Carb BBQ Chicken Tenders. This is a new recipe, so I will post it if it turns out well. I’ll serve it with either green beans or asparagus that I already have.
3. Low Carb Nachos
4. Creamy Swiss Chicken with salad. You can find that recipe here.
5. Cheesy Chicken & Cauli Rice Skillet. It’s one of my favorites. Here is the link to the recipe.
6. Breakfast for dinner. I plan on making my Low Carb Breakfast Casserole and serving it with bacon and avocado.
