This week, I managed to get all of my groceries at one store. My local Aldi isn’t always stocked up on the things that I need, but this week they were! I also didn’t buy as much this week since my mom and brother are coming to visit (so excited!). Neither of them follow any kind of special diet, so I have to figure out some more meals to make while they are here. I’ll highlight some of my favorite staple items below, and as always, include my total, meals planned and carb counts. I hope you have a great week!
This week I purchased these items from Aldi:
Lemons, avocados, green bell peppers, mini cucumbers, frozen broccoli, strawberries.
Heavy whipping cream, Kerrygold butter, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, chipotle cheddar slices, cream cheese.
Pecans, garlic powder, black pepper, mustard, peanut butter, salsa, guacamole cups, tomato paste.
Ground beef, chicken breast, chicken sausages, salami snack bites.
My total was:
I got two flavors of chicken sausages: Chipotle & Montery Jack Cheese and Tomato & Basil. Each flavor contains 2 net carbs per sausage and are $2.99 a pack.
Mozzarella and cheddar cheese blocks, chipotle cheddar cheese slices. The blocks are $1.45 each and the slices are $2.49 each.
I’ve never tried this salsa before, but the ingredients are clean and only contains 1 net carb for 2 Tbsp. It was $1.89 at my Aldi.
I was excited to find this peanut butter. The only two ingredients are organic peanuts and sea salt. It’s 4 net carbs per serving and was $2.99.
Organic/grass fed ground beef. Only $3.99 a pound at my Aldi.
Mini guacamole cups. They contain 2 net carbs per cup and were $3.29 for a pack of six.
My absolute favorite bacon! It doesn’t contain any added sugar and cooks up perfectly every time! It’s $3.29 at my Aldi.
I bought these little salami bites for my snack plates. They are 0g carbs per serving and were $3.49 a pack.
I love this sparkling water! It’s 0 calories/carbs/sugars and is better than La Croix in my opinion. It’s also cheaper at $2.99 for a pack of 8.
Kerrygold is only $2.69 at my local Aldi. I know prices vary depending on location, but that’s the cheapest I have been able to find.
I was SO excited to come across this Rao’s alfredo sauce at Target and wanted to include it. It’s 2 carbs per serving and the ingredients are clean. I can’t wait to try it!
My meals planned so far for this week include:
Low Carb Beef Taquitos (You can find the recipe under the dinner section).
Cheese Crisp Nachos (Recipe under dinner section).
Low Carb Chicken Enchilada Soup (Recipe under dinner section).
Low Carb Chicken Alfredo Bake (New recipe I’m testing).
